The AFSC/SW helps to achieve innovation through its EDDGE team. The first EDDGE team was established in 2017 to focus specifically on preparing for weapon systems that the AFSC would be responsible for sustainment in the future. These teams rapidly develop, integrate, and deliver advanced capabilities to the Warfighter, and are dedicated to developing a highly skilled workforce of software professionals. EDDGE enables the local organization to meet complex strategic and technical challenges through funding, and partnerships with academia, industry, and research labs.
